# Help with mechanics q asap plz watch

2. Have you posted the right question? It doesn't look much like mechanics.
3. Just realised, sorry, it's thermal physics !
4. ok. I'm not going to post a solution, but here are the steps.

1. work out how much heat is lost as water cools from 25ºC to 0ºC. For this you need the mass of the water and its specific heat capacity.

2. Now use the latent heat of the water to calculate how much heat it loses as it changes state to ice.

3. Now work out how much heat the ice loses as it cools from 0ºC to -5ºC. This time you'll need the specific heat capacity of ice, not water.
