I'm kinda in the same boat as you. The only people in my year who did well in the mocks for Spanish are the native speakers and this one Italian speaking guy. The rest of us non-native speakers did pretty bad. Only a few people in my class passed. TBH I didn't work hard enough for it but I want to get at least a 7 by the end of the year so I need to start the grind. I only got a 4 in December as well.
Our lives are so similar lol.... I need to GRINDDD if I wanna get a 6 in Maths and at least a 4 in French! Then again, you only need 6 Bs/As for Harris so... I'm allowed to flop at least 2 subjects

2% AS? And people say CA is bad xD

We had around 12 A* out of like 160 people so over 7% and people didn't take it seriously - I think people seriously underestimate CA's grades

Harris is doing Pre-U for English so maybe that has something to do with it?

What do you think of this compared to CA?
    Further Mathematics(MEI)
    A*=33% out of 43
    Mathematics(MEI)
    A*=26% out of 146

My predicted grades are literally all B's/6's and one 7 (in English); however, I've gone above most of them before; the highest grade I've gotten so far is an 8 in English Literature.

I'm also getting increasingly worried that I look wayy to young for my age. Lol I went to the interview and most of the boys looked like they had graduated uni... like 10 years ago; and yet I felt like a little baby.. literally I look about 13 years old when I'm actually 15!

Well they've got more people taking it so that looks seemingly better but in Chelsea, the few that do FM usually end up with A* and quite high UMS scores so it's quite hard to judge but I think a lot of people down play CA. We had pretty good RS in GCSE and I think a lot of people will be positively surpassed on result's day.

There's a guy in year 10 in my school who looks like he finished his PhD.
It's so weird that all young people want to look older and all older people want to look younger.
You'll probably be happy that you look younger in a few years.
Don't stress about that too much. There are people in my year who also look like they haven't even done their year 6 SATs yet.

This is what happens when you pick the hardest exam boards for no reason... This is the one thing putting me off it.

CA only looks bad because it also accepts people who aren't exactly the smartest which downplays the achievement of the really high achieving students like the further maths class.
Oh yeah. They do STEP preparation and some AEA(I have no idea what that is, you probably do) prep as well.

That one guy in economics with an A* could be you. And that is only 2017 data.

AEA = advanced extension award in Maths (hard-ish Maths paper for year 13s)

STEP = entrance exam for Cambridge

Yeah that's true - that's why the "average grade is C-"; the less capable downplay the general achievement of the school but oh well.

You know... one of the videos I shared yesterday said that it's better to go to a new school on your own. That way, you get to practice making new friends; you learn how to be more independent, and you learn how to settle in to a new learning environment; which is a great skill for when you go to university.

I am also the only person in my year that applied to Harris!
i applied with someone else but they didn't receive a conditional. That's one of the reasons i didn't want to go to harris.. bc then i'd have to properly socialise all over again

CA needs to be more selective. Guarantee that their statistics will look really good.
