    Hey all !

I thought we could make a thread for all french applicants to Unis in the UK (and Scotland in particular for those concerned).

This is mainly aimed to share tips, support and get to know each other a little.

What unis did you apply to and for what courses ?

Feel free to talk in English or french, whichever you feel the most comfortable with!

    Hey !
    I’m from Reims | Predicted grade : 17.3/20
    I’ve applied to :
    - Edinburgh
    - Glasgow (conditional 22/02)
    - Aberdeen
    - Dundee
    - Strathclyde (rejected 05/03)
I’m really hoping for an offer to Edinburgh honestly tho I’m quite relieved by the offer from Glasgow

You got an offer from Glasgow congrats ! I got stupidly rejected from strathclyde as well, kinda pissed off about that but whatever. I have an offer for Law with french Law from Aberdeen for the moment (15) which is okay, eager to hear back from the others. Did you sit an English proficiency exam?

Glasgow answered you so early, but their offer is oddly high tho. Hope everything will be fine

Did you sit your English proficiency exam? I sat the TOEFL if anyone wants infos on that (but sincerely, except if you’re in a hurry, I wouldn’t advise you to sit it, such a useless headache.

I’ll sit the Certificate Proficiency in English (CPE from Cambridge English) this year ! I already have passed the Certificate Advanced in English (CAE) last year. I’ve already checked it and I’ve got enough for all the Unis except Glasgow :P
    Where did you apply ?

To be honest it was free tuitions, but I'm interested on the history we have in common as well

Hey guys! I just received a conditional for English Studies with 13/20 for my French Baccalaureate when my predicted overall grade was of 16/20 😂 So, maybe Stirling would be an insurance choice for me if I don't have any other good offers

    Hey guys !

Quite surprised to see a thread for French students, especially when I come across students from where I live !
So my name is Selyan and I am from Reims.

I haven't asked my predicted grades, But it must be around 17 if I look at my averages. I've applied for international relations in :
    - King's College (offer received in November)
    - Aberdeen
    - Edinburgh
    - St Andrews
    - Cambridge (rejected)

It's becoming a bit long as I've applied to each university in early October. Regarding English certifications I didn't need to pass any for that matter, as I'm doing the French baccalaureate with the OIB, and it's recognised!

Congratulations on your offer, that’s such good news ! Aberdeen gave me an offer lower than my predicted grade as well
