    Thousands of UK household are without water for a third day, following the plummet in temperature last week. Homes in London, Kent, Sussex and Wales have be affected

    South East Water says about 12,000 of its customers still have no supply and companies have been working through the night to reconnect homes.

    They had on the news last night about people running out of fuel and the Chinooks taking in supplies. I cna see they have problems.
    the people who lost domestic water supplies though for 1-2 days then it is not the end of the world and just an inconvenience. With the way some of the interviewees were going on you would think otherwise.

    Rachel Fletcher, chief executive of Ofwat, said customers had been left "high and dry" because of firms' support and communication.
    She said: "Water companies have been warned time and again that they need to be better at planning ahead to deal with these sorts of situations."
    Hopefully everyone gets reconnected quickly... But these unacceptable delays shouldn't be viewed as an isolated event but as the another failure of the UK water companies and the regulatory system in which they are allowed to operate. By rights some *extremely highly paid* water industry executive butt should be about to get an industrial kicking.
