Hey, So I applied to MSA and I did my share of stalking. I know that they are architecturally ranked 7th in the world, I know it's 2nd best in UK etc etc. I looked through different forums on architecture schools and MSA seems to rarely appear. I found more discussions and opinions of the school from 2015 and they weren't very positive. So I wanted to ask whether anybody has some updated comments on MSA and whether it's a good university. Thank you
I've also noticed this. In the 2018 Architecture applicants forum i didn't see anyone mention Manchester although it was highly rated. What's the deal with that?

I know right!? MSA doesn't seem to be very active on social medias... There are very mix opinions on the web but most of them are from few years back. Well at least I'm not the only one that is confused. Did you apply to them? If so did they get back to you with a decision?
I applied mainly because of world ranking and the fact that Manchester is a diverse area itself. I didn’t actually see anyone talking about it. I sent in my application a couple days before the January deadline. I received an email requesting my portfolio just yesterday

Hey so I contacted one of the students there and she said that outside of UCL she thinks MSA is the best choice in terms of outcomes and works. The building itself is quite large and that overall she is quite pleased with the course. The lectures take place in the UoM lecture theatres. Some of the teachers are amazing and some are just average in her opinion. In conclusion she said that it's a nice university but the course is very intense and her schedule is packed (maybe that's why there is not much information on the web cause they are too busy lol). I also asked her about the ranking thing because I was confused and she said that the 7th place comes from students voting and participating in the survey, therefore it's not fully trustworthy (I'm still not convinced by this answer though). So that's sort of what I found out about the university and the course. Btw did they answer you yet? Which university is your first choice?

They requested a portfolio. I have until April 7th to send it in and then I’ll know. Currently it’s my first choice as I didn’t get through to ucl
Hey guys! I applied in November and received a portfolio in February, so I sent off my portfolio on 5th of March. What a long process Fees for international students are crazy expensive though, but we do get to use facilities on both unis (MMU and UoM) right?

Hey, yeah we get to use both facilities and when you graduate you get a certificate endorsed by both institutes. I recently got an offer from them and I'm quite happy Is MSA your first choice? and btw where are you from? Good luck!

I got an offer exactly a week ago, but I'm still thinking about my choices. What's your first choice? I'm from Malaysia
Hey guys! I have to send my digital portfolio by 2nd April, but I'm a bot confused. Should I send my statement as a document alongside with the link to the portfolio or should I put it inside the portfolio? What do I do?

Hey, so I just put the statement inside the portfolio. If you have more problems you can just google past portfolios. Good luck
Hey, BTW, after receiving an offer from MSA did you receive any emails from them about it? Or just notification on UCAS track?
Oops! Sorry, I've been quite busy lately - forgot to check the student room. I applied to MMU and they sent me their prospectus. Have you firmed MSA already?

Hello, im looking at studying at MSA as well. I was wondering if you ended up going to the university and if so, how has your experience been so far? Thank you!!

Hey I’m currently an offer holder for Architecture at Manchester and was wondering if I could get your opinion on MSA as I’m unsure whether to firm or not due to the mixed reviews
