Hi, so I want to study Biochemistry and I've seen some universities with a common first year for the biosciences and I wanted to know what it's like. I actually like the idea of it, but I want to know if it differs much from a normal course that doesn't have a common first year. I know all the courses are related and so the first year we will see all the basics. Is it a good idea to start a course with a common first year?
    Thank you 😊

It makes no difference tbh as the material will get covered one way or another. It's nice to make friends from different courses though and of course find out about their courses.
