    Hi I love English but I feel like being able to study texts in detail often takes me hours and hours more than it should and alot of the time I don't feel like flash cards work: How do you guys revise English lit (AS/A Level) ?
    Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    You need to read the text as a book or play and just get a feel for it.

    Then go back and read it again but paying more attention to plot and characters.

    I would then start to make notes.

    You should already know the plot.
    Questions tend to be based on:

    Characters.
    Themes.
    Playwright or authors technique.
    Your notes should be in those areas. They may need to contain suitable quotes


    One you have a set of notes, then you can review exam questions and just practice. Download the exam questions and mark schemes. It also helps if you know what the examiners wants.
