I have zero friends...is there something wrong with me? watch

    • Thread Starter

So I'm a year 2 mmu student doing history and politics. And I've made zero friends whilst at university. I can't help but feel as though something is wrong me me, mentally or something? I've tried so hard joined societies attend seminars and jobs here and there. Don't get ne wrong I'm not someone who just doesn't talk, i actually have conversations with people in classes or work. And i actually get a long with them, but it never really escalates from there. I ask for their Instagram and stuff to message them later or whatever etc etc. But nothing really gets past that. In college I had friends and hung out with them. But it honestly seems impossible to hang out with anyone and make friends. I feel as though I actually have a mental issue or something. People say uni is the best time of your life and you make friends who you'll hang out with forever but I've not had that experience yet. Is it just a phase? Is there any advice? Will it get better?

Hey, don't feel bad. Uni nowadays is a lot different from what it used to be. Perhaps its more to do with your approach to people; are you speaking over others? Or not hanging out much outside class if given the opportunity.
