hi, I've been feeling really low the past month or so and I want to go to the doctors as I think it may be depression. I've got no energy, I've lost all motivation, I sleep most of the time, I drink far too much alcohol and my generla attitiude to life is ****. I hate it, I get no enjoyment from it whatsoever.

My question is: I'm going for midwifery this year at uni, will antidepressants affect this or a future career within healthcare?

    Possibly.

You should talk to the Doctors and those who are in the field. Depending on your situation, it is a risk to patients. Have you got offers yet?
