Hi there I’m a year 12 looking to apply to Cambridge for Maths, wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things to do around the subject other than UKMT? Currently doing a bit of reading with some Gauss lined up though dk If I will understand that:/.

On a side note is it worth putting UKMT on a form if you have pretty average results - silver in Seniors ,Gold inters?

The silver in senior, probs not. I'd put the gold in IMC and if you ever get to Olympiads that is very good - especialyl if you get a top grade.

E.g. in IMOK, 500 get picked for Olympiad out of your year and 50 get the book prize. If you get the book prize, you're nearly guaranteed a place at Oxbridge if you don't slack off.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
