I'm in Year 9, and my parents have always kind of expected me to take Add Maths for GCSE, but I've started feeling really daunted once seeing the past papers. My other two choices (Extended Maths and International Maths) seem really easy upon looking at past papers, and I know that I'd get really bored in those classes. But I also feel like taking one of them would be a huge weight off my shoulders, and I wouldn't have to worry about Maths all the time and instead focus on other subjects. As background knowledge, I consider myself a pretty good Maths student and am quite dedicated, but especially considering that I am taking a heavy coursework subject like Drama, I don't know whether I'll have time to get Add Maths all done. Plus, my parents will be very upset if I choose not to take it, and will ask me why, and I don't think I can explain to them that I don't have enough confidence to take on a subject like this.
Anyone who's ever taken iGCSE Add Maths, please do give me some advice on how it is and what you would do in my place. Thanks!
PS. This is my first post

Hey I wrote igcse higher tier mathematics A. I don't know what "add maths" is, but there are two specifications for International maths from edexcel: A and B. If your exam board is Cambridge I can't help you out but if it's edecxel then I'd recommend the same one I took because it gives you the option of writing a higher tier exam - you can score an A* in this - or a lower tier- you can only score a C even if you get a 100/100.
