Anyone want tickets for the Trinity May Ball?

Me, minimo and Adhsur are all Trinity students so we can apply for 2 double tickets each to the Trinity May Ball - i.e. bring along a further 9 people with us. We've all got no one in mind really, so I thought I'd throw this out here - it'd be nice to meet some new people.

It costs £115 each, £160 if dining. If you're part of the second double then it'll cost £125 each, £180 if dining. More info http://www.trinityball.co.uk/. Anyone interested, PM me!

Yes. May I also point out that it's not certain that we get a second double, and also that priority will go to some of our friends from other colleges. But we should have some left over if all goes well. So really you better ask us soon if you want it cos we want to apply for tickets today or tomorrow!

I've already been approached by a couple of people on TSR but I need to know more details about what you'd want and stuff.

yeh like Adhusr said first priority is friends but if anyone's interested PM me and I can see what I can do
I'd be extremely tempted but I'm holding out on the offchance that I can get a Jesus ticket (I'd rather go to Trinity, but my friend from another uni is visiting and Trinity don't allow non-uni members to go). If we don't get Jesus, I'd love to go to Trinity (I'd take my friend to Robinson on the Friday instead).

I'd like to go with those of my friends who didn't manage to get Clare tickets though. 5 spare tickets anyone? :/

I'm pretty sure non-university members can go as guests (at least they certainly could last year/the year before as my friend was my guest).
This is what the website says on the guest issue: "The Ball does not possess a Public Entertainment License which means that only members of Trinity College or current members of Cambridge University may apply for tickets. Guests must be bona fide acquaintances of ticket holders, but need not be connected with the University".

I would be unbelievably grateful! I'll PM you guys now. Please take pity on a Petrean whose college has denied us Freshers a mayball!

I will take any and all tickets for trinity from any and all of you! PM me to let me know how many you can offer me. Obviously give the tickets to those who asked first though.

Thank you thank you thank you. I'll buy you each a drink if I get these tickets!

Cheers, in my temper at not getting Clare tickets I think I skimmed it and got angry at Trinity as well. That's cool...if there are any spare I would love them then! It would be great so show my friend a traditional may ball (kind of regret being at King's when it comes to this kind of thing)

If you get a couple spare me and a friend would be keen. We're both at Christ's. Cheers!

If I order tickets does anyone want the second double (if I'm able to get it)? I'll need names and other info asap. First come first served. I'm afraid I'll be charging £160 for each single (RRP £125) because I don't actually want to go to the ball so I'd want the money from the other 3 tickets to cover the cost of my own so I can take everyone in then go home again.

Yes, yes yes yes and yes. I can't PM you (for some reason?), but get in touch with me if they're still going spare.

It says on the website they're releasing more over the next few days, but that has been up about a week now. I've given up on the idea of Jesus now (hoho).

ok the final offer is for 3 tickets at £150 each. But I want to know what happens if I don't get a second double am I stuck with just one spare ticket- in that case I'll probably try to get them refunded because I doubt anyone is going to pay the price of a double for a single ticket and as I said before I don't actually want to go to the ball, so in that case either you pay me £200 for my spare, or I get them refunded. Unless I can transfer both to someone else but I doubt it.
On this note do we have have any updates on other people who offered tickets?

Puppy, I will take all three tickets at that price, if you are able to get the 2nd double. I can't take just the single one, though, if you don't manage to get the second double.

Does that makes sense?

Hi,

I'll take as many tickets as people can sell, there're literally twenty people in college trying to get them. We'd all pay £150 per ticket if people wanted to make some money as well.
Any one with even one, please let me know, I'd be so grateful.

I'm afraid both me and Aquillyne have found takers now so assuming all goes well, we have no more to offer now. Sorry to disappoint everyone else who PM'd!!!
