Can you survive engineering on solely hard work without natural smarts or would you fail? I
currently have high 80s in grade 10 on hard work not natural smarts. Could I survive engineering?

How do you know you don't have "natural smarts"?

You don't have to be a genius to be considered smart or be successful in engineering.

Hard work and that work ethic that comes with it is what gets you through Uni. Talent helps, but can be fleeting if not expanded on with practice.

If you're passionate about engineering--go for it!

Yes if you keep up with the work you should be fine - as I said in your other thread, engineering degrees award a good amount of good honours.

Striving to understand is what makes you smarter.
