I really want to become a primary school teacher, I've looked into a few universities as I'm considering take that route but recently heard that sometimes an apprenticeship is a better option and some courses aren't very serious and a waste of money, in regards to becoming a primary school teacher which would be better?

you have to have a degree to get qualified teacher status so an apprenticeship isn't really an option for you.

There's a range of different university routes you can take though.

I'm doing an apprenticeship at the moment as a Learning Support Assistant in a Primary School. It's one year (I started Sept '17) and I think it's a great way to get full on work experience and see what it's really like being in a Primary School setting - plus the people who work there can give you really good advice. This year I'll be starting University en route to become a teacher, but I think having this year away from school and gaining work experience has really cemented that this is what I want to do
