I am doing Edexcel A2 now. But i want to resit my AS exams again. I am not quite happy with my result. I tried doing all the edexcel IAL past papers before. But turns out it isn't enough to get me a good result.

There are other exams out there with their syllabus similar to edexcel's right?

As far as ik, some other exams are; AQA, OCR, WJEC and CIE. How similar are they to edexcel? (I dont want to be wasting my time doing something completely different) And are there any more? I mean for bio there is Salters-Nuffield ones. (Which i heard where great) Anything else? Anything which would help me get a better result in my AS and A2 this year?

    Hi,

You are correct that Edexcel is comparatively more difficult to get very good marks in - their marks schemes are not only not easily deducible, but sometimes downright incorrect.

If you have a choice, I would strongly suggest you do the AQA one, which has a similar content to Edexcel [without some of the pedagogy], and the questions are phrased in a much more sensible way - I have had all my AQA students achieve grades A and A*, over some years while one or two of my Edexcel students only achieved a B.

    Best of luck!
