it's obviously fantastic that they are going this for him, but the family will never be able to move! And the upkeep, especially for the lift will be astronomical!

I thought the idea was there was an injured policeman who couldnt go hme and be with his family because hims home was previously unsuitable and DIY SOS volunteers gave their time made it so he could go home plus did his house up as well?

Why are you moaning about them being able to move? They wont have to for many years if ever? it was a large house?

Why will the upkeep for the lift be astronomical? Maybe he has a pension , insurance and local companies will have agreed to the servicing?

You would rather he stayed away from his family? he seemed very happy with all the work people had done.
