    Hey guys,

Was just looking for some advice, basically I applied to an advisory role at Deloitte and I did my video interview around 6 weeks ago and have still not heard a response. Am I bugging by thinking they're taking too long or is this normal? It said in the email they'll get back to me within 2-3 weeks?

Usually how long is it before they reply after a video interview?

If anyone can help then that would be great!

    Thanks guys.

Sometime there can be delay due to deciding between candidates, admin or other work related matters. Seeing as the recommended time has passed, I would try to follow up your application and contact Deloitte.

Usually these video interviews use AI technology to rank candidates, so they probably begin from the higest ranking candidates and invite them to interview/AC, and gradually move their way down the video interviewee rankings.

For financial advisory I did my video interview in Dec, a couple 'updates', and then got my outcome in Feb, and then an interview the same week in Feb.

Do they? Do you have a source for that?

At least HireVue does. I can't remember if Deloitte used them, but I have done quite a few HireVue interviews for grad schemes

I was at an assessment centre on Friday for Deloitte's gap year scheme. When I was there I realized that they were doing interviews and group activities for lots of different types (gap years, school leavers, placement years and graduates).

I talked to a few graduates but can't remember/didn't asked what specifically they were applying for, so it could be they haven't got round to your division, or they have and haven't got down to you yet.

As for the wait, be prepared for a while. I was waiting for about 8-10 weeks after my job simulation before I got my invite. I got the emails saying they'll get back to me in a few weeks but afterwards I just kept getting update emails apologizing for the delay and saying I'm still in consideration.

So basically, dw, but be prepared to wait some more.

Yep - have seen it in action -scarily accurate too.

Most companies are not using the AI to screen the video interviews though. Most are still using people like me to review them.

Thats crazy, so what is their criteria based on? Does that mean body language is weighted more than the actual words that you say?

Criteria will depend on be organisation and the role.

As I understand it, it’s picking up both. How those are weighted again will depend on the organisation.
