I'm booking flights tomorrow and I've spoken to my dad who said it might be cheaper to book through a travel agent instead of direct with a travel agent. Wondering if anyone has any experience of this, or the opposite? What should I look out for with a travel agent? Are there any extra fees for using them?

Travel agents tend to be easier to book flights with and often recommend feasible accommodation and travel. I have only travelled once without a travel agent and that didn't go too good. I've just come back from the UAE and booked via a travel agent. Pretty good suggestions and not too expensive.
