Is it necessary to learn all minor characters of the play, such as Nurse, Lady Capulet, Benvolio etc.?

    not necessarily, no.

it may be helpful to read extracts with minor characters in it, so that they're slightly familiar to you if they come up in the exam.

however, i'd say that you only need to know a little background on them, and if they affect the other characters in any way.

it can also be helpful to link minor characters to certain themes.
romantic love: the nurse makes vulgar comments and sexual references when juliet tells her about romeo, showing that she is quick to ridicule their love.
familial love: the nurse took care of juliet as a baby, in place of lady capulet, possibly showing failure or weakness of parental love.

I’d say yes because they can be useful for theme questions-also, don’t revise characters revise themes then you’ll be more likely to have a range of quotes and ideas!
