Thought this would be the best place to ask as I imagine most of you have been through it:
I've just firmed my offer for GEM at an English uni, so I'm trying to prep for all the finance bs I'll have to apply to. I'm Welsh so I obviously need to apply to the NHS Wales funding, but I've just realised they've changed the eligibility criteria... According to this FAQ the NHS Wales bursary/tuition scheme isn't available to me since I'm not studying in Wales, despite being willing to commit to working in Wales on completion of my degree?
I thought that meant that I would have to apply for NHS England bursary/tuition schemes, but apparently they're not available to me because I have to have been a resident in England for the last 3 years, not counting the years I've been a student in England - they'll only count the 1 year that I've been working in England (I've been residing in England for 4 years in total now).
Any ideas? I'm confused asf

I'm a Welsh-domiciled GEM student
I hadn't heard anything about this but had a quick look at the website you linked and it doesn't look like medicine is included in the courses in Appendix 1 so hopefully you're safe from this. However, if i were you, i'd give Student Finance Wales/NHS Wales Bursary people a call and just clarify the situation.
