I always wanted to be a teacher. That was my dream job. I originally applied for primary. I got rejected by all three of my choices without a interview.
I gave apply 2 a go and started applying for a mixture of secondary and primary schools. I got a interview with two out of the 20 ITT providers I applied to. I got rejected by both. The feedback I was offered was that they thought I wasn't ready to be a teacher yet and that it was too early for me. One of them recommended me to try and apply for TA jobs.
I applied for 15 TA jobs and I didn't hear back from a single school.
I then tried to apply to schemes like Teach First and Premier Pathways. Teach First gave me a interview but they rejected me afterwards saying I didn't meet their competencies. Premier Pathways rejected me as well saying I didn't have enough experience even though I had completed a one month placement in a primary school.
At this point, I gave up on teaching and started applying to other job sectors. I applied to 50 other jobs, writing individual applications for each one. I followed tips from job websites like monster jobs on how to write an application. I applied to secretary jobs, social work schemes, administration, charity jobs, and librarian jobs. I got rejected from all of them. Today is my 100th job rejection.
I have a degree in English from a RG university so I don't think it is my degree.

Just be a little more patient. The 101 attempt might land you a job. don't give up
