What can I do about my indian parents? watch

    • Thread Starter

I am 22 years old. I am in my last year as a student before i qualify.
I have a 'secret' bf. We have been together 6 months.
My parents don't know about him. The are currently trying to find boys for me which are marriage potential. My mum keeps asking me about random guys which i have never even met and saying would i like them.
I am getting very frustrated as i haven't even finished my studies yet and they keep talking about guys to marry.
I want to tell them about my bf soon but atm its not the right time in our relationship.
What should I do about my parents?
I have told them i will find my own husband but they just don't get the hint that they are pressurising me. I just want to concentrate on my studies atm.
Sometimes i feel because in the eldest of three children, they are just excited for me to find somebody, but how can I make them stop putting this pressure on me?

    Thank you.

Maybe you should really put your foot down and tell your parents that you don't like them pressurising you to make a decision atm. Telling your parents about your bf wouldn't be the greatest of ideas because they might not take it well. So just tell them to back off and if you can't exactly tell them then just start spending more time outside in the library working or staying in school after hours to revise. That way you'll be getting work done and won't have to worry about them constantly nagging you.
