I'm in year 11 and really stressing about GCSEs. I don't know what to aim for across the board. I know for a fact I'm not an 8/9 student in sciences and maths, so I'm trying to be realistic.
The lowest grade I'm predicted is a 5 in computing, but the rest are all 6 and above, with a 9 predicted in Spanish (literally the only subject I can confidently).
I know that a 6 is an old B, but to me it just sounds a lot lower than a B and most people I know have agreed with me that it sounds lower.
Predicted mostly grade 6 I really feel not good enough or like an underachiever, and this is stressing me about because although I know I will get into the college I want to go to, I'm worried that the university I'm wanting to go to (University of Leeds) will hold my GCSEs against me, even if my A-Levels meet the entry requirements which I'm confident they will as I'm picking studying subjects I'm more confident at and doing an EPQ.
tl;dr Will an average of a grade 6 in GCSE hinder applying to university and is a grade 6 even that good?
