    Hi,
I got into LSE today and have started to look at halls. I'd say I'm pretty sociable and would want to go out quite a few times every week. Would quite like an en suite but its not necessary and I don't mind walking to uni tbh. Price isn't that big of deal either. Also I deffo want catered halls. Also I kinda want the place to look nice lol.

Because of all of these I was thinking of applying to Bankside but I've heard its not as sociable and that's my main criteria (I want as social a hall as possible). Instead I've heard Carr-Saunders/ Passfield are the more social ones. Should chose those instead?? Thanks xx

Personally, I think Passfield is the most social - there's a real sense of community in the halls (partly because it's smaller) and lots of nights out planned where loads of people from Passfield go. It's also in a great location for getting to/from places.

Having said that, if you're a naturally sociable/extroverted person, I think you'd be absolutely fine at Bankside - I think you just have to put in a bit more effort to meet people & go down to the bar every night in the first few weeks.

    Congrats on your offer!

Unfortunately I am not living in the university halls, so I am not aware about the facilities or student life at different halls.

In LSE, social life also depends on yourself. As long as you try to socialise, you will be able to. Being in any halls will definitely help, especially in the first year. I found it kind of tough to socialise since I didn't live in halls.

I recommend you go to a hall which you can get to LSE by walking (25 minutes or less walking would be fine), as it will save time and money. Underground is very costly and it is annoying and tiring to travel with it during peak times, if you live far.

    Good luck!

I have been looking at Urbanest Westminster and Grosvenor House but finally chose Urbanest as I think the benefit of its new facilities tends to outweigh the pros of close proximity to LSE at Grosvenor
