Probationary period
So in my contract if work it says during the first years probation, a satisfactory amount of sick days is acceptable. What amount of days would this be?

That would depend on your workplace. 4 days out of 8 months is fine anyway. If it was 4 weeks then you'd have a problem.

That *number* of sick days shouldn't be an issue.
