2 weeks ago my school started running lessons for year 10 and 11 on weekends to catch up with any coursework. The sessions run from 10 am to 3pm.

I'm in year 11 and this week we all got a letter home saying that we must attend them otherwise we'll be thrown into an after school detention every night to complete the work we miss. The thing that annoys me is that in the letter it says we all have to be wearing the school uniform so I can't even go out and mess around after as there are no buses back to my house till 5pm on weekends.

Are they allowed to force us to come in over weekends?

I don’t know but as long as you have a good reason not to then you don’t have to? My school does revision sessions like this but they don’t force us to go, they just strongly recommend it
