I put on weight, I'm now getting more looks?

Hey!

I started driving just before Christmas time, and with Christmas as well, I put on weight. I've put on just over a stone (probably around 17lbs being precise).

But... if I'm walking down the street now, I've been getting more looks. Like I've seen more girls look at me, and I've gotten a few smiles.

My mate said to me (he hadn't seen me in a while) "you look healthier". So I said to him "are you calling me fat?" and laughed. He said I look like I put on weight, but that it looks better because I don't look as thin/boney and I look healthier.

Can putting on weight really make you appear more attractive or healthier? It's just odd how he's said that, plus I'm getting more people looking at me?!
It really depends on how thin you were beforehand, I guess. Also, some people look better when they are thin, others when they are a bit bigger. And don't forget that it depends on girls' preferences too - some like really thin guys, some like bigger guys.
You probably looked/were underweight before you put it on.
Like there are guys who like chubby girls, there are gals who like their share of chubby men as well.
Not always but it happened to a friend of mine, I remember him saying the same thing many years ago. He said more women have been checking him out since he got a little tubby, I even saw it myself. We were in Primark once and three different girls smiled at him as they walked past him. I guess some girls just like more cushin' for the pushin'

Maybe you used to have a dodgy bone structure that was accentuated by your skinnyness? Perhaps the extra padding makes ypu skin look smoother and less leathery? Rounder faces supposedly indicate trustworthiness and friendliness. Maybe they think you look like hubby material lol. I don't know what girls find attractive tbh

i was a size 8 during my teenage years but when i hit my 20s i went up to a size 14/16 and expected to be completely ignored but i got checked out more than when i was thin. a lot more people are desiring fat than ever before, its great
People don't like to admit to it because of societal pressures but there is definitely a demand out there for people who like some meat on the bones. there must be because your seeing it everywhere - porn has a whole category dedicated to bigger men and women, theres plenty of chubby chasers in the world (just watch my 600lb life, almost all of them are married) and nowadays i'm seeing more and more chubby men and women walking down the street with their thin partners.
