Place given out of catchment - Watford Grammar Boys School

All students who didn’t get a place or are on the waiting list at Watford Grammar Boys' School (for Year 7 entry 2018), please be aware that a student living in Uxbridge, some 15 miles away and well out of catchment (and the school’s own admissions criteria), has successfully gained entry into Watford Grammar School for Boys.



I feel very bad and sad for c.500 students actually living in Watford Grammar School admissions area, who deserved a place and that didn’t get a place or are still waiting for a place, but some “unauthorised” child has taken. This can’t be right?

Watford Grammar School ought to act in a fair and honourable manner, a give places according to their own admissions criteria / policy.

Short of telling the school itself and the Council (Herts County Council) does anyone know how this can be halted and investigated?



Are there any students who have been declined a place in the admission area that ought to have got it - This is your chance to step forward and ask for your rightful place at the school and query what has happened?
