Hi, I have a degree in Accounting and I've just started as a bookkeeper for this group who have several different companies within the group.

I'm really enjoying the job and I report directly to the Directors.

My issue is to obtain ACCA I need 3yrs practical experience as well as the exams.

However after looking into CIMA am I right in thinking I may not have to be in practice to do the qualification.

    Any info would be great.

I'm not sure that I understand the question. What do you mean by 'in practice'? You need practical experience to qualify under either ACCA or CIMA. You don't need to work for a firm of accountants for either of them.
