Is boycotting the World Cup an apporpriate British response?

I can't see it happening, and equally, I can't see it having the desired impact even if it does. Yes, making money etc is likely of importance to him, but if only we are boycotting it, I don't think it will have significant enough impact to be cared about particularly.
No ****ing way.

Firstly, it's a childish response from a country that only last week saw fit to renew arms deals with another misanthropic murderous warmongering regime.

Secondly, do you think Putin and his mates give a toss about a relatively irrelevant presence? One semi-final since 1966.

I say this as someone who will support the England team during the tournament no matter what.
