It takes 4 people 3 days to paint a wall, how long will it take for 6 people to paint the same wall?

How many people will it take to paint the wall in half a day?

If it takes 4 people 3 days to paint a wall, how long will it take 2 people?

Then if it takes 2 people __ days to paint a wall, how long will it take 6 people?

You need to work out the 'rate' of painting the wall.
This 'rate' is measured in 'man-days', and in this case, that wall takes 12 full man-days to be painted.

The 2 questions based on this should be simple, now.

    Another, similar question is:
It takes 3 mins to fill a bath using just the cold tap.
Using just the hot tap, it takes 6 mins to fill the same bath.
How long does it take to fill the bath using both taps at the same time?

Once you've answered that one successfully, try it with 4mins & 8mins for cold/hot respectively.

Then, finally Amins & Bmins for cold/hot.
