OK so, I'm part of a play and it's tomorrow and my immune system decided to bail out on me the day before(today ugh). My head hurts, i have a bit of blood in my phlegm and my body generally hurts. Any quick tips for getting me back on my feet? I'm annoyed that this happened so last minute, help is appreciated, sorry & thanks xxxx

Rest, stay in bed. Don't do much-check what kind of blood you've coughed up(look at the NHS website) incase it is concerning.
I'd stay away from acidic food too.
Also, if you still feel pretty bad tomorrow then don't do the play-your health isn't worth it and they will manage to work around it.
(my school lost the lead in our play due to injury(on the day) and they still survived)

Should i not eat fruit like oranges or whatever? I'm drinking loads of fluids generally. Unfortunately i dont think thats a choice for me since there arent many actors in any case ;/ thanks tho x

Your health is more important than a play. Worst case, it is postponed until you're well enough. Don't make yourself worse.

Even still there are extra people, those who are part of the ensemble can easily take your place. Your health is more important.
Oranges are acidic so I'd avoid them personally. I tend to do strawberries or grapes. Also if you have vitamin tablets take them.

Also, if you perform while you're ill, you probably won't perform to your best ability which would make yourself feel even worse too. Definitely best to wait, people will understand.

Rest and maybe some lemsip or something (you can phone a pharmacy to see what they suggest). Hopefully that will hold you together enough for the play, but if you are feeling really rotten on the day you'll just have to call in sick. Could be better to do that anyway so you can do your best and not just pull yourself through. S happens. You couldn't control this so don't feel bad about it. People should understand.
