Hi everyone, was just wondering if anyone knew or could explain to me what these things are. I’ve been looking online and at all my books but I’m not sure if it just has a different name on my list but I don’t want to learn the wrong thing.
It says: Mass movement (sliding and slumping)
If anyone could help explain what these things are or where I’d find a diagram I’d be very grateful
    Thanks

    Ok,
So we looked at 4 types of mass movements in class:
    Landslides
Very fast rates of movement, consolidated material
Earthquakes are possible, trigger factors could be heavy rains/storms
    Mudflow
    Usually fast movement
    Consolidated material
Earthquakes and storms can be a trigger factor to mudflows
    Rockfall
    Instantaneous fall
    Consolidated material
Earthquakes + storms can trigger them
    Rotational slip
    Can be fast or slow
    Unconsolidated material
Earthquakes + storms can be a trigger factor

    Hope this helps
