So I don’t know if i should firm leeds or king’s college london. The reason being that I’m doing liberal arts and in terms of career prospects kcl is much better. in the future i wanna move back to my hometown in the USA, so king’s is much better for giving me opportunities (since it’s more well-known across the world) after uni but i know i’d enjoy leeds so much more. My parents are also pressuring me to choose king’s because it’s closer to where i live now and said they don’t care about how expensive the halls are (they’re offering to pay for me if i go).

I just don’t know what to do, I don’t want to disappoint my parents but maybe they’re right about the employability thing? part of me wants to have a good uni life (especially because my parents are strict and my social life throughout secondary school/sixth form was sh*t) and go to leeds but the other part is telling me i need to be practical/realistic because im already doing a degree programme that isn’t very great for employability.

My instinct is Kings for the name if nothing else, but it will be much more expensive because its London. It has an international reputation.

You could try talking to international students at both places and possibly visit both if you are over here? Leeds is still Russell group and a goof place to have an overall student experience plus cheaper cost of living.

I understand the dilemma. Have a look on youtube for videos on both unis to get a feel for the place and contact some international students for both to get a feel for their experience.

    International departments or SU societies.
