So toys r us are starting to close their stores (https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/57711...uyer-collapse/) , and it looks like thats entertainment stores could also be in trouble (https://www.burtonmail.co.uk/news/bu...inment-1244961).

Which high street stores do you think might be next to go?
    And why?

My home town will soon become all bargain and discount shops. We've lost BHS (where I worked), M&S, Homebase, Waterstones, now Toys R Us and maybe our New Look will go. It's depressing but just how life goes.

Apparently its mainly the mens ones that are at risk. Apparently 60 stores are going last time i read something.

Personally i dont think card factory will go, but i think the smaller ones such as a write card could go.

They're in pretty dire straits at the moment, I could see them going into administration in the next few years. They moved their contact centre inhouse and I believe drastically reduced the scope of it and number of agents to try and cut costs a couple years ago, and as discussed they're closing a large number of stores (although they have too many anyway). They have over £1bn debt at the moment as I recall reading...

I remember there being one in my town as well. Never really went in myself, only the odd once, but there was one.

Theres some stores still open. But i was gutted when some shut.
There used to be one in a town near me (only 15 minutes drive away). I used to go in there a lot.
Now the nearest one to me is in a shopping centre 30-35 minutes drive away. I dont go shopping there often though.
