I've seen so many questions on here about the technicalities of doing a year in industry as part of your degree, but none about the actual experience.

I was wondering what living alone for a year moving away from uni friends is like? whether its hard coming back when your friends may have finished and graduated?

Just generally looking for peoples personal experiences of the year in industry if I'm honest - good or bad.

I wish I did a year in industry. Would've saved me lots of time applying here and there for a "real" job. Because let's face it, your degree in ... studies means nothing to most employers.
