    Hey guys,
In a few weeks I will be 17 and in September I am starting a BTEC in Animal Managment.
I’m currently exploring the possibility of living at the college (they have a residential wing) while studying my BTEC because of my problems with travel and other things linking to my mental health.

Have any of you ever lived away from home while studying?
    Are the people usually friendly?
What does an average day look like?
It’s not a boarding school per say but I guess they could be similar?

Any advice would be great because I’m really excited at the Possibility but also very nervous

It would be a bit like Uni? Cook for yourself. Would save you a lot of time and stress by less travelling. You might get bored or isolated plus homesick, so you need to prepare in your head for that and be ready for it with ways to cope. people might be lovely or not, it is pot luck. I would be concerned about making sure you have enough resilience and support to handle the MH issues.
