How can I simplify this furthur? watch

1. 2/3(x+9)1.5-18(x+9)0.5 In the book this is simplified to 2/3(x+9)0.5(x-18) but I couldnt get it in this form.

Both of your terms have a common factor. Take that common factor out and see how you can manipulate it.
3. As Razzor said, the key here is identifying the common factor; once you've identified that, it should all fit into place. There is a notable trap here that could confuse you if you're not careful though; what would you say the common factor is?
