Do you just email them? What would you send in the email? Phone them? Any tips to find some that accept work experience to 16/17 year olds?

    Hello,

I got dentistry work experience a year ago (when I was 16)I simply phoned my nearby practice and asked if I could come for work experience. They gave me an email address that I needed to email with why I want it and a few paragraphs about me, and about my availability.

They contacted me with the dates they liked for me to come and I went for 1 week. That was it!

Disclaimer: it is very boring as it is not something interactive. Most people are in for routine checks. But I guess it looks good on a CV.

    Good Luck!

A lot of nhs dentists where we live won't take you on but my daughter took her cv round every dentist we could find and luckily one mainly private one took her.

She didn't find it boring by the way but you need to show enthusiasm if you do find it boring it may not be the job for you thats why dental schools they want you to do it
