How good is the course in terms of teaching and the modules offered? Could current students please share their opinions on how they found the course and the uni as a whole.

It seems that there is a dearth of students from university CS courses on TsR these days. You may have better luck in the Nottingham forum.

From looking at the prospectus, it seems like QUB in terms of CS. It is a RG uni that does not seem to have an overly mathematical CS degree and seems to offer a wide array of placements. It seems that it is more focused on getting graduates in to employment post uni.

If that is what you are after it seems like a fine CS degree, although IMO C/C++ should always be a mandatory module and not and optional module in a CS degree. If you want to go to Nottingham definitely do a placement year though.
