I have a first degree in Media and Cultural Studies with Sociology and Social Science. I achieved a 2:2 in this and graduated in 2014.

I have wanted to be a Midwife for as long as I can remember but have never had the confidence to go for it; until now.

So if I apply for a Midwifery degree are the entry requirements still based on my a-level results or will my first degree be taken into account as well as life experience I've had since I graduated?

    Thanks

I think it’s best to contact the universities you would be looking to apply to & asking if they will accept your qualifications. Otherwise they may recommend you complete an access to higher education course at your local college or possibly a short course. What a-levels did you do? If you did a science or some unis accept a social science, that may mean you meet the entry requirements. Some universities want recent study in the last 3 or 5 years too.
Midwifery is very competitive and work or voluntary experience is highly recommended or required by some universities.
    I hope this helps.
