I've received unconditionals from both universities for film (in AUB's case, the 4 year option). I'm really conflicted about which one to pick. Any insight or advice would be valuable!

What do you consider to be the pros and cons of each? What are you conflicted about?

    Hi there,

Though I cannot comment on AUB, I currently study Photography at Plymouth College of Art. If you want more information on the course from a current student, I can put you in touch with someone. I might be able to give a useful insight on the college itself though.

For example, you'd probably be excited to know about the huge range of cameras and studios that we have at the uni (which you'll be able to see on an open day if you haven't already been). I use the ERC (where you can rent equipment for free) at least twice a week, it’s really handy to have equipment that I can book out as soon as I know that I need it, the online booking system is really similar to Amazon and saves me loads of time too. We are also really big on collaboration within our creative community here, which is definitely useful as both Photography and Film students, as you can usually find someone within the college willing to help you out with all kinds of projects. In fact, a Facebook page for collaboration has just been set up, which is really useful! I recently took part in an exhibition where I worked with a student from Illustration, Game Arts and Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, which was fun!

If you have any questions, please ask away, more than happy to try and help you make up your mind! Is there anything else that you'd like to know about the uni in general that will help you feel like you know us better?

    Harriet
