Based on my reading there are three skills that every data scientist has (or needs?)

    > Python
    > Machine learning algorithm
    > Quantitative Analysis and Statistics
    > SQL for interacting with "Databases"

Of the above, I'm only comfortable with the the third topic (Quants). For Python and Machine learning algorithm, I'm a complete zero with no foundation.

I've studied SQL when I was in school, so the basics are there and I should be able to manage.

So my question is if a data scientist journey worth it for my profile considering what I know and don't know? Anyone here who is in a data scientist course?

    Thanks!

If you're making a career change only you can work out if it is worth it for you and no you won't know everything or even be at a level to do the job. You may need additional qualifications. Work out what jobs in the field need experience and qualifications wise and work towards them.
