Would you ever go "Facebook official" with your relationship? watch

If my s/o ever asked me to go Facebook official with our relationship, I think I'd have serious doubts about the future of our relationship. Would not want to date someone who places so much importance on that kind of thing.
I've seen friends, who I know aren't into that, be persuaded to go Facebook official by their partners. Why do people feel the need to do this?
    So moist.

I'm not stupid enough to care about this sort of thing.

Wouldn't do it, even if someone paid me.

It's not something I think about daily. But one of my mates just put his relationship on Facebook and he looks so wet.

I would do it. It might sound cheesy, but if I finally found love, why not tell the world?

I mean I see why people do it, if they're feeling secure in their relationship enough to make it Facebook Official, or maybe they're proud of thier partners and the kind of person who wants to show them off. Or maybe they just want people to know they're in a relationship in the first place, there's any number of reaosns why people might do it.. But personally I've never done it and I probably wouldn't purely for the reason I don't really care about it? I guess if we'd been together for longer than a year I would consider it if they wanted to, but otherwise I don't really see the point

I went 'FB official' with my relationship then marriage, I don't see why it so cheesy or tacky if you are actually in a serious relationship. Shoving it down people's throats with constantly soppy posts is tacky, not simply just being FB official. You can have a serious relationship without being FB official of course though, its not the be all and end all - its up to each couple what they want to do.

Would do it only in a non-timeline published post (available on profile still though).
