What it says in the title really, is it a bad plan?

No, go for it. Life's too short.

Go for it and harder without any contextual details, but I would say chances of success are really low, plus a bad choice now people are into exams.

The typical TSR scenario is the person has a crush who they have never managed to talk to for years, but now realises they want see them again if they go to uni etc and there are three weeks of school left.

Establish some for of contact t at least get social media details. See what happens in the summer and they may come back to the area after uni. Alternatively crashing and burning may stop them being infatuated.

People are generally less up for starting such things around a late sort of time in the year, usually citing either something about exams or something about wanting to have the "true experience" on freshers even tho you get that quite well enough just from getting blackout drunk and passing out in your halls' corridor...

Regardless you may as well give it a bash. If you get in one then worst case scenario is just that it ends before uni starts, but then being single at uni is apparently beneficial according to some people. Never saw the difference, myself.
