I was wondering if the questions in BMAT section 1 had a ‘category’? Such as non-verbal, verbal,... or abstract and quantitative reasoning in UKCAT...but obviously under a different name?
Does anyone know what the ‘category’ is for those sorts of questions or what one would call them?

It's a mixed bag - you can find the past papers online and see for yourself what type of questions there are! It's called Aptitude and Skills I believe.

Yes it is Aptitude and Skills and then has three types of questions within it:
    Problem Solving
    Data Analysis and Inference
    Undertanding Argument

    Hi there!

BMAT Section 1 is designed to test aptitude and problem solving abilities. It focuses on three main areas: verbal, mathematical and spatial.

You can find out more about BMAT Section 1 here.

    Hope this helps!
