Hi, I'm hoping to study an MSc in Adult Nursing at Edge Hill in September. I have a Psychology degree and experience working in a care home and as a support worker for elderly people.
However to study the MSc, I need 500 hrs experience in an ADULT health care setting ( RPL). There are no jobs at local hospitals at the moment so I don't know what other options there are? Learning disability environments aren't suitable. Also, is anyone here studying an MSc in Adult Nursing? If so, what is the course like? Thanks guys, and sorry for long post!

Hi, sorry you haven’t had a reply yet. Does your experience in a care home & support worker not count toward the experience required? It might be worth clarifying it with the university.

    What Mel said.

Working in a care home and as a support worker for the elderly should count to working in a role delivering care to adults.

I don't know about the Msc however I had friends who did the PGDip when I trained and they found the workload quite intense as there was a lot of content and placement squeezed into a shorter space of time than the undergrad course.
