The question says it all. I spend all my time on the internet, reading or playing video games. No friends, haven't spent a night away from home for months. Can't revise because I hate school and I'm sick of telling people-my parents, my therapist, teachers-and the second I do well they don't care anymore. Don't see how I'll ever improve. Any ideas?

Right.....well I'm exactly like you and have been trying to control internet time for about a year now (and am only just bringing it under control). My advice is join a club/do a sport. With regards to work, take your computer out of your room, set yourself one task and don't look at your computer until the work is done. With friends the best advice I ever got is talk to people. Ask how their weekend was, how x sports game they did went, how the school play is going (small talk like that). Also do stuff at the weekend even if it involves going to a place by yourself. You'll probably be able to find some anecdotes about the things that happened.

Get a bike and ride around town - that's what i use to do. It's pretty fun when you feel the wind hitting your face as you go faster and faster.

Or maybe just go abroad to meet extended family that live in other countries. It'll help you socialise.

Okay same? Exams are in... whenever they are but I just haven’t brought myself to start revising. For me, it’s not that I don’t care, maybe it’s that I care too much. I’ve got no one and nothing and I don’t know how to motivate myself. Big 17 and I haven’t found a revision technique that works? What a joker
