Had my eyes tested 2 years ago and it was sph -4 and had a test last week and my new glasses pescription is as follows
    Right Sph -6.75 Cyl+0.75 Axis 165
    Left Sph -7.25 Cyl +0.75 Axis 5
    How bad is that?
Also can someone explain the cyl and axis?

    1. It is a pretty big change since your last check up, as you may notice of course.
    2. Astigmatism (cylinder) means your cornea shape is more like a rugby ball, has two diameters, than like a basketball ball. The angle in which you have the longer/shorter diameter (+ or - cylinder) is the axis.

How old are you for such a change?

I’ve not picked up my new glasses yet so haven’t had a chance to see the improvement.

I’m 29 so not too old.
I also have a prism on my right lens which is 35 +4 base out

You are short sighted and your distance vision has deteriorated.

so in addition to all that you have focusing issues, so you need prism correction.

It is pretty bad, but as long as you see well with your glasses everything is fine.
