Kings or UCL??!

So I originally applied to do Psychology at both unis. I got an offer from Kings to get AAA and higher my maths GCSE from a C to a B and I got an offer from UCL to do Psychology with Language Sciences instead of Psychology for just AAA. I have no idea which one to firm or which one would be better for me???

hi! I would choose UCL because the kings campus for psychology is not very nice in my opinion, ucls location is much better, and it is also more prestigious, better for psychology and your offer is lower!

I would personally recommend UCL due to their strong reputation in almost all departments - coming from a King’s student

Even though its Psychology and Language Sciences rather than normal Psychology? How are you finding Kings?

Yes, I feel employers would rather hire someone with a degree from UCL - regardless of the degree specialisation. I’m enjoying it right now, pretty good course (CS), decent lectures and fantastic campuses.

Psychology is hardly at the top end of degree prestige... adding language sciences at the end of the degree wont make a difference

As others have mentioned the UCL department is renowned and has strengths in a wide variety of areas in psychology. The kings psych department i think is more specialised (when i last looked ages ago) and the course is newer which can lead to be problems. Unless there's something specifically drawing you to kings i'd go for UCL hands down.
